The Owner states the previous owner had the boat repowered with twin Volvo turbo diesels. He estimates hours around 1,500 The current Owner has had the cabin upholstery redone There is a soft spot on the foredeck. There is nice cockpit space for anglers or set up a couple of deck chairs for a cruise. The flybridge has a nice bench seat for the Captain and some friends. 1980 PHOENIX 29SF, Second Impulse II is a one of a kind and very seaworthy vessel. I have owned her for 18 years. She has been meticulously maintained and every piece has been upgraded with the best of class. Maintenance logs show regular oil changes, careful replacements and upgrades. No detail has been overlooked. She is very reliable, handles every sea condition, very dry ride and at 5.7gph avg fuel burn is very efficient. In 2002, all systems were replaced, fuel tanks, engines, seacocks, strainers, electrical system, bonding system, water heater. In 2004 she was fitted with a new Atlantic Tower fiberglass hardtop, new navigation systems, and Strataglass enclosure. The bridge electrical wiring was replaced with new fuse panels and switches. Her bottom was stripped to the gel coat and barrier coated in 2008. Also in 2009, her interior was upgraded including cushions, curtains, dinette and galley surfaces.
