There are three basic factors at work in performance and every builder has them: propulsion, hull design and weight. Since all manufacturers use the same basic powerplant packages, it leaves the latter two as key differentiators. In those categories, the 2100 wins hands down. Regal's award-winning FasTrac hull features a full mid-beam step, which forces air beneath the hull when underway and reduces drag. These hydrodynamics, combined with a specially- formulated lamination schedule and composite framework enables the 2100 to run faster and deliver better fuel economy than any boat in its class.
