2002 Rinker 342 Fiesta Vee, A restful night of air-conditioned sleep in a secluded anchorage, morning coffee with loved ones, and margaritas in the afternoon all aboard a remarkably complete and affordably priced boat.While she is intended primarily for families, the layout comfortably accommodates two couples. The spacious boat offers a 12-foot beam and a high freeboard that allows for 80 inches of headroom in the main cabin. The forward V-berth is large enough for two adults to sleep in comfort and can be separated from the main cabin by a privacy curtain. The rectangular aft bed, which sits beneath the forward part of the cockpit, is larger than a standard queen bed and is also separated by a privacy curtain. The C-shaped dinette opposite the galley comfortably seats four, and with its large molded Corian table, drops to form an additional double bed.Food preparation on this Rinker is a pleasure. The galley includes a stainless steel sink, refrigerator/ freezer, a two-burner electric cooktop, a built-in microwave, and a built-in coffee maker. The cockpit refrigerator has a remote-mounted condensing unit that significantly increases the usable inside space. All of the appliances can run off shore power or simultaneously with the quiet 5KW Kohler generator. The galley countertop is split, with the stove slightly higher than the sink, primarily to allow a taller refrigerator, and protects little ones fingers.Two skylights in the galley, another large one over the V-berth and three portholes let in the air and the natural light. The 16,000 BTU heat pump provides both heat and air conditioning. A TV mounted in the cabinet provides entertainment and a new Kenwood AM/FM/CD/USB player with dual zone volume control, new amplifier, and 6-speaker system with subwoofer blasts the tunes.Another great feature for cruising, the head is aft to port and provides room to move around. It includes a separate, roomy, fully enclosed stall shower not commonly found on boats in this size range, as well as a sink and vacu-flush toilet.The cushy and beautifully sewn upholstery is in excellent condition and is easy to clean; a central-vacuum system comes with enough hose to reach anywhere on the boat. The boat offers A LOT of storage! The dinette is fitted with drawers, rather than the usual arrangement of lockers accessed by lifting up the seat bottoms.Out back, the arrangement of the deck and cockpit provide a good combination of small and large boat features such as a walk-through windshield commonly found on smaller models and a cockpit wet bar usually found on larger boats. The wet bar is nicely molded into the starboard side, oriented diagonally just aft of the helm and sensibly placed in the center of traffic flow. The Corian countertop conceals a sink, garbage compartment, and a fixed-mounted, DC-powered blender.
