1964 Willy Roberts 18 Skiff, 1964 18' Willy Roberts vintage flats skiff. This boat went through an extensive 18 month restoration. The deck was removed and all deck beams replaced with new mahogany. Most of the boat was taken down to bare wood and refinished with awlgrip primer and top coat. The fuel tanks were replaced and a new, composite deck made using coosa board. All the floorboards are new as is every mechanical component, including wiring and hardware. She is powered with an ETEC 90 outboard that has less than 25 hours. Trailer included. There are very few Willy Roberts skiffs left from this era and this particular one is certainly one of the finest afloat. Her refit was done with no regard to cost. There were no short cuts taken, the finish is of the highest quality, and she is simply an amazing classic in new, original, condition. This is a remarkable steel hauled yacht. There is no wood or salt water in this vessel. It is constructed of 5/16 steel in the haul and from the rub rail of 3/16 steel and an aluminum pilot house. She is a full keeled boat with bilge keel, which is 6 inches above the keel. It is fitted for hydraulic stabilizers but were not installed. They are capped if wish to be installed later. She is powered by John Deere 250 hp engine cruises at 9.8 knots at 1800 rpm. Fuel burn of just less than 5 gallons per hours giving it a total of 7200 mile range. From the aluminum house aft is the master state room which has a queen berth a head with a bathtub, the tub has been removed. Forward of the pilot house you enter the galley with a custom built stainless steel table. Full size double door freezer refrigerator Aluminum drawers with ample storage. Gas and electric stove tops, microwave, double stainless steel sink. Forward is a twin bunk with a head, shower and sink. She is also equipped with a full size washer and dryer.

This amazing steel vessel was launched by Kristen Yachts in 1994 in Sidney, British Columbia, just outside Victoria on Vancouver Island. She is a 52’ all steel Bruce Roberts designed motorsailor with a raised salon and fully enclosed pilothouse. Currently sailed by renowned author Christine Kling, and her husband, who is a former diesel mechanic and is meticulous about his boat, "Learnativity" comes compete with two offices where you can get your work done in peace while exploring the world.
She has traveled over 35,000 nautical miles since she was purchased from the original owner in 2005, and her most recent passage was from the Marshall Islands to Fiji in 2015. She has been the owner’s full time home since 2008 and she is currently sitting in Fiji awaiting her next adventure while her owners are busy designing their new expedition motoryacht to continue their worldwide cruising and are therefore anxious to see her heading off to new horizons with her new owners as soon as possible.
