I’m selling my 1987 Ebbtide ‘170 Montero’ 17 ft. Runabout with 3.0 MERCRUISER, OMC COBRA (4 cylinder) 120HP/Inboard. I’m hoping to buy my motorcycle before the snow fly’s! (I’ll entertain a trade for a street cruiser of equal value and condition). I purchased my Ebbtide in 2005 from a private owner which was selling it for one of the biggest reason I now sharing with him – it’s just not getting used enough. I’ve never experienced any problems with any parts of this boat; it’s a lot of fun on the water and good handling. (I did have the points replaced this year) the bench seats were replaced with two (tracker) pedestal seats this spring. It was appraised by my insurance adjuster at $5500 a few years back. It’s on shoreline trailer which has some rust but it’s still in good shape. It’s been out once this summer which was last week on our family vacation. This is fully restored, Took over 10 years, 11000 hours and $24,000 in parts, materials and labor. I did most of the work. 20% was done thru Marine Specialties in Redwing MN. The Engine was replaced and only has about 400 hours. The lower unit is completely rebuild. New floor and joist system. Fiberglassed grinded and sealed. Complete 4 stage paint with Purple Pearl and Silver poly flake. Lots of Clear. All Acrylic Urethane. Wetsanded and Buffed for days. New plum carpet and Wise seating. All custom installed by me. All screws and hardware completely replaced all stainless. All new wiring, ignition, Battery, Guages were all rebuilt. Goes about 50 MPH with power prop. All power trim rebuilt, The trailer was custom modified at Marine Specialties. Painted by me. She starts and runs perfect. This boat is ready to go. Moving to the Desert. Have all receipts and lots of pictures of all phases of restoration.
