This boat shows like it has been well cared for. There is a small scuff on the bow and another near the stern (see pictures) but they appear to be only surface deep with no visible structural damage. According to the seller, all systems work properly and there has only been routine maintenance required on this boat. The manifolds and risers were replaced recently which is common on a boat of this age used in brackish water. All work has been done by the local marina. This boat has been stored inside its entire life. The trailer tires were recently replaced due to age. Located near Chocowinity, North Carolina on the Pamlico River, this Wellcraft Scarab 29 is a classic high-performance boat built for speed and a smooth ride. Powered by twin MerCruiser 350 Mags coupled with Alpha One outdrives with stainless steel props and trim tabs, it gets on plane in 3.25 seconds and cruises at 45 mph with a top speed of 66 mph. The 100-gallon fuel tank provides plenty of range for long rides. The cockpit is built for true high performance operation with standup 2-position bolster seats. There is full instrumentation for both engines and all electronics including tachometer with hour meter, speedometer, fuel, voltmeter, trim gauges and oil pressure. There is an aft bench bolster seat with underneath storage access. A Clarion AM/FM/CD player with speakers and remote control provides lots of sound. The cabin is accessed via a sliding Plexiglas door and includes a V-berth which sleeps 2, a self-contained head, and hanging locker. The sides of the boat have a few scratches in the wrap from docking and a few chips in the fiberglass from the previous owner. The gel coat needs a good buff and wax. The interior demonstrated good care and was clean, no mold, and no moisture.
