I have put a lot of time and effort into maintaining this boat. Move is unexpected and I planned on keeping this boat for quite a few more years...Storage under front and back seats. Any compartment can be used as a cooler. Back seat flips up to uncover canopy and PLENTY of storage. We could easily fit a 10x10 portable canopy and four chairs under there for a great day at any one of the islands. Table, support bar and anchor light also clip into that compartment, as well.Captain's chair and passenger chair swivel. Built in Radio/CD player with removable facia, if you happen to leave the boat parked and unattended. Ski/anchor storage compartment in center. Anchor storage also under front seat. Horn, running lights and courtesy lights are all operable.Boat has been maintained by Jet Trendz, in New Port Richey. If you have a jet boat or jet ski, he is the master, in this area!Oil, plugs and wear rings have been changed yearly. I also perform an oil change, mid-season, because I planned on keeping this boat.Starters and regulator were changed out with genuine Sea Doo parts in 2015. Jet pumps were removed before the beginning of last season and all bearings and seals were replaced with genuine Sea Doo OEM rebuild kits. You won't have to worry about the jet pumps for several years. (Except for regular maintenance.) Rear reverse gate and linkage was replaced with genuine Sea Doo parts at the same time. This boat shifts from drive to neutral to reverse smooth and like new. Battery was also replaced within the last 12 months.Propulsion comes courtesy of two 4 Stroke Rotax 155 naturally aspirated engines. 310 Horse Power will get this boat up to 56 mph. No Superchargers or intercoolers to rebuild every 100 hours. This boat was manufactured in April of 2007. That is important to know, because it actually has the 2007 engines (most 2007's have 2006 engines) and the 2007 version has solid core pistons. Previous design used sodium filled pistons. Engines are NOT cooled by water. Each engine has independent internal cooling. This is a Sea Doo only feature that will increase the life of the engines. Only the exhaust is cooled by water intake. This boat is a lot of fun to drive! The 12" draft makes it easy to go where other boaters cannot. Full tune up done on both 4-TEC 1503 Rotax engines 10/19/16. There are 128 hours on the boat total. This boat has 430 horsepower and flys up out of the water with ease for a smooth ride. The Utopia 205's walk through windshield was high enough to provide good protection against spray, even in the nasty little chop running on our test day. It gives access to the bow seating area, large enough for two adults to lounge comfortably, and the swivel bench seats (buckets optional) provide comfortable, secure seating when running, and a comfortable conversation or eating area when anchored or beached.
acceleration is very good, and with only one turn, lock-to-lock of the wheel, steering is quick and precise. Even at a top speed of very close to 50 mph, a full hard over turn is able to twist the boat 360 degrees without any sideslip and without stalling out. Can't do that in a prop boat! The 250-hp Mercury jet drive package in the test boat performed flawlessly. The jet drive is the safest way to go if you are going to have kids, or adults for that matter, swimming or boarding in the stern.
