2016 Sea Fox 22XTR Viper So what does a boat company do when it already builds a solid, well-designed 22' bay boat? Well if you're Sea Fox you "Kick It Up a Notch," which is how you get the 22XTR Viper, the newest addition to the Sea Fox lineup of Viper bay boats. Like the original 220 Viper, the XTR features Sea Fox's full composite construction for the hull, with a large raised deck up front, a large raised deck aft, and a nice roomy center console with room inside for a portable toilet. However the XTR goes the extra step of adding a large 26 Gallon release well incorporated into the forward deck, while deleting the smaller 10 gallon baitwell of the 220 and putting in its place a Yeti cooler with cushioned seating. The rear deck deletes the center bench seat (but keeps the two jump seats) in favor of a large acrylic hatch to another 26 gallon release well. Plus there's another Yeti cooler under the leaning post! Other standard features include a 6" jack plate, LED lighting package, gas shocks on all hatch lids, pre-rig for 4 batteries, pre-rig for trolling motor, three bank battery charger, and a 50" fish box in bow. There are tons of other goodies too, like Bahama Blue full hull color, an aluminum/canvas t-to with electronics box and spreader lights, under gunnel rod storage and Lenco trim tabs. A boat this hot needs a power plant to match, so this XTR is matched with a Yamaha VF250 VMAX SHO four-stroke outboard. How do time to plane of less than 2.5 seconds and a 56 MPH top speed sound to you? Plus you can cruise around all day at 26 MPH and get almost 4 miles per gallon.
