1998 Sea Ray 420 Aft Cabin Creative styling, a spacious interior and quality construction made the 420 Aft Cabin a popular yacht in the Sea Ray fleet both during and after the production years. Aft cabin motor yachts look more like condos than boats, but the sleek profile of the 420 speaks volumes about Sea Ray’s ability to incorporate European styling influences in an American built yacht. Built on a fully cored hull with prop pockets and underwater exhausts, the 420 has more interior space than seem possible in a yacht her size. The three stateroom floor plan is arranged with double beds in the fore and aft staterooms, while the second guest stateroom extends under the salon sole. The galley is down which allows space in the salon for an “L” shaped dinette. Topside, a fiberglass dodger surrounds the aft deck, and molded steps descend to the wide swim platform. Additional features include a spacious fly bridge, wide side decks, radar arch, transom storage compartment, and aft deck wet bar. The Caterpillar 350 hp diesel motors easily cruise the boat in the 20 mph range while the boat can reach 25-27 mph.The Sea Ray 420 Aft Cabin has three comfortable staterooms, ample walkways, and a cockpit that can accommodate a host of guests with ease. Below, the wide-open cabin allows passengers to enjoy a sumptuous interior noted for its quietness thanks to Sea Ray's patented underwater exhaust system, which reduces engine noise significantly while underway. An L-shaped salon sofa with pull-out ottomans provides a relaxing atmosphere for listening to the standard Clarion AM-FM digital stereo with two six-disc CD changers and six speakers, or enjoying the TV - VCR combination. There's also a convenient raised L-shaped dinette with room for four. Rich wood finishes complement the fully equipped galley, which features a flush-mounted three-burner electric stove, a microwave, refrigerator and freezer, sink, custom-molded countertop with new Corian covers, and a tremendous amount of storage space above and below. A Space Maker coffee maker also comes standard on the 420 Aft Cabin. The staterooms are lavish, from the aft master stateroom with queen-size bed and innerspring mattress, abundant storage, and full master head with shower; to the forward stateroom double berth with full-size pedestal bed and plenty of built-ins. Both of these staterooms feature a standard entertainment center with TV/DVD combination. The 420 Aft Cabin also has a port stateroom with a twin bed for additional sleeping and storage space.
