This 2015 Shearwater X22 features an 80 lb, 36V New Minn Kota trolling motor on the bow and two Blade eight-foot power poles on the stern. With only 348 hours, the Yamaha VF250LA VMax SHO 4-stroke 250 Horsepower outboard should provide many more hours of fishing enjoyment. The 6" Bob's jack plate on the stern will allow the boat into the shallow waters for inshore and will get you to any location with speed and efficiency. The Shearwater X22 has plenty of storage with a huge forward recessed casting deck that sits atop a large storage compartment center deck and two ten-foot rod lockers built to hold all of the tackle you could ever need in a day. There are three separate bait wells including a 45-gallon release well, a 25-gallon secondary well both below the aft casting deck, and a backup 18-gallon well under the leaning station should have you covered. The leaning station is comfortable and features twin independent convertible bolsters for sitting or standing at the wheel. Systems access is made easier by use of a removable forward console seat which exposes electrical systems within the console making maintenance simpler. The X22 comes loaded with hydraulic steering, a 6" hydraulic jack plate with gauge, built-in recessed trim tabs, three plumbed livewells, raw-water washdown, digital gauges, pop-up cleats, 12-volt DC power receptacle, stainless-steel hardware and custom-fitted marine upholstery. Finding fish is no problem with its upgraded electronics such as the Lowrance HDS Live 9" system with 3 in 1 transducer on the console and one on the bow. There is also an added B-60 in-hull transducer that reads at high speed. With large decks, walk-around gunwales, a smooth, fast, dry ride, shallow draft and plenty of passenger seating, the X22 proves a great crossover boat for flats, bays and backwaters alike. 2017 ShearWater 25LTZ The ShearWater® hull design is precisely produced utilizing the ShearWater® exclusive “HPI” double hull foam core injected process. The ShearWater® “HPI” process incorporates a structurally sound outer hull chemically bonded to a matching full length complete inner hull with high strength water proof closed cell foam structural flotation foam core injected under pressure between the two hulls. The outer hull is structurally sound without the addition of the inner hull. The 100% All composite outer hull is hand laminated utilizing fine finish exterior fiberglass matt, high strength structural biaxial fiberglass fabric, composite core material and a layer of Dupont Kevlar over the entire bottom for extreme strength and puncture resistance. The outer hull is structurally reinforced with hand laminated full-length composite stringers and keel. The high-density composite transom is reinforced with hand laminated composite knee braces. The totally sealed and filled double hull structure eliminates the possibility of water intrusion into the hull. One of the most important benefits of the advanced “HPI” technology is undoubtedly the extreme safety factor built into every boat. The benefits of the “HPI” process are further enhanced through the use of the ShearWater exclusive process of chemically bonding the deck to the double hull creating a solid unitized one-piece structure. The ShearWater® proprietary “HPI unitized construction” method is initially very expensive to put into production. The inner hull is complex and time consuming to create. The inner hull mold and the outer hull mold have to be exceptionally strong to withstand the high internal pressure created during the foam injection process.
