The local and visiting consultant felt that for the right owner, this would and could be a very nice vessel. The next owner needs to have a budget to make the repairs and improve the current condition. Please keep in mind that the boat would have to be towed anywhere since both engines do not work. Stock #404944 Silverton 392 Motor yacht, needs long blocks replaced, priced to sell!!! This 1999 Silverton 392 Motoryacht for sale, powered by twin inboard MerCruiser 8.2L engines. This listing would be considered a project-style vessel. Both engines are currently not working, and the seller stated that both would need to be rebuilt. The seller also reports that the generator has not been working since the purchase and does not believe it is repairable. Both A/C units have been replaced in the past few seasons and are in good working condition, possible to make this a great option for live-aboard at this time. When walking about and around the boat, there was a soft spot I was able to feel on the flybridge in front of the helm area, where the seating is located. Looking at this space from inside the salon space, there are no signs of any water intrusion or issues. Bring offers. When the seller had mechanic check the engines, this was the info provided, "Performed compression test on all cylinders of both engines. On starboard engine 2 cylinders are dead because of pushrod and valve issue. 5 cylinders had good compression and 1 had less than 50psi. (Normal range is about 150psi) On the port engine 1 cylinder was dead from bent pushrod. 3 cylinders were very low and the other 4 were ok. When scoping all cylinders most of cylinders were rusty and pitted. Pistons were all very rusty and valve seats didn't look great either. Recommend long new blocks for each engine. Both engines also have lots of corrosion on outside. May need additional work or parts replaced once these engines are taken apart and pulled out of boat." Reason for selling is not using enough, have moved out of the area..
