Up for auction is my 1986 Sunseeker Ropallo with 300HP turbo diesels . I purchased the boat earlier in the year for unpaid storage and repair bills owing , I have used it around 15 times over the past few months and will try to give you as honest a breakdown as I can , I don't much about its previous history prior , I do know that it was imported from Gibraltar originally and that the Sunseeker brand is synonymous with quality , these are the Cadillac of boats and in this boats hey day it would have been far more expensive than a standard SeaRay or Bayliner etc . She was just launched 2 months ago after having had a bottom job so the bottom paint is great and she could potentially remain in the water for another 2 years depending where it is . There were no blisters below the waterline and the running gear , shafts rudders and wheels (propellers) are all in good condition . I did take a pic or 2 of the boat out of the water so those pictures are around 2 months old give or take a week or two . Above the waterline she is in reasonable condition , there does not appear to be any previous hull damage . In the cockpit , the original factory table is still in place , although in the pictures the seats look very clean they are showing signs of wear from the sun , I would say from 10ft away they look great and then when you are actually in the cockpit you are starting to see wear and some small cracking from the sun . mainly the driver/skipper/captains chair , I think it still looks presentable and could last for another year or two. The bimini is in place and in good condition although the forward bimini in front of the factory arch does need a good clean . There is a rear cabin with a double bed and enclosed head , the floor area / ply at the bottom of the stairs could use replacement as there is an area of damaged wood , you are talking about replacing an area 36x36 inches approx. , I have had a quote of $550 to have this done professionally I did remove all the carpet in the boat to find the soft spot and check the rest of the floors which are all in great shape . The forward cabin has a galley to Port although I have hardly spent any time in the cabin we have used the boat on day trips in the Bay and up and down a few local rivers . The engines are twin 300hp 6 cylinder turbo diesels , and are in good running condition , they start up on the second turn most times , I was and will still try to have an oil change done before the auction ends , if it does not sell it will have fresh oil ready for the spring . I have not been able to get the 12V or 110V systems to operate , it appears at some point prior to my ownership someone was attempting to do some work on the electrical system as the shore power wire has been cut about 2 ft after the receptacle on the boat . again we were happy just to run around locally so it has not bothered us but it will need to be looked at in the future . With the above being said all the gauges for the engines do work like the oil pressure , temp etc . If you look on Yachtworld the cheapest Ropallo for sale is $47K with the others all in the 60K range so we have priced this less than half of the cheapest boat on the market . you could not even replace the 2 engines for our asking price and this boat may suit someone who wants to clean running low hour diesels (approx. 950hours on each engine )you could remove the engine and transmissions up to you . I am selling this with a clear Maryland title in my name , I am interested in partial trades or possibly a complete trade depending on what you have later model RV , exotic car , another boat later model Harley etc . Cash would be great but in the economy I am happy to be creative partial trades provided we discuss beforehand . You can e-mail me with any questions .
