The CLASSIC is at home at the steps of the world’s smartest yacht clubs, but equally suitable for water-skiing or beach picnics. The designer took inspiration from the clean lines of modern sports cars, whilst most modern RIB/tender designers set out to achieve uncluttered lines, V-type have succeeded in producing a style that is the envy of the competition. The underwater shape has been kept lean, with the spray rails merging into the main hull well before the bow. Apart from this the hull is a full deep ‘V’ with a 23° degree deadrise that promises a well-behaved ride in rough seas. The inflatable tube is set well into the hull, the lower edge just above the chine. At rest, the tube skims the water surface at the stern to give good stability, but when underway it lifts clear of the water so there is no drag. The hull and tube integrate cleanly so that there are no reverse angles to give a harsh ride. The deck moulding is beautifully executed and styled. Yellow finish compliment the teak decks that extend the length of the boat and up on to the top of the engine hatch.
