1980 Viking Convertible Sport Fish
Open to offers, lightly used. Owners health forces sale.
A major sales success with over 400 sold during her decade of production, the 40 Sedan contributed mightily to Viking’s reputation as a quality East Coast builder. Boasting an aggressive profile and rugged hull construction, the Viking 40’s cockpit and interior are big for a 40-footer. Notable, too, are the balsa-cored hull sides; in fact, the Viking 40 was one of the early production boats to pioneer this technology. Steel engine mounts were also employed, which have now become a Viking trademark. Breakaway has the convertible dinette layout and features a simulated-wood laminate interior, this boat has the generator in the engine room. Breakaway has the popular Detroit 6-71 Natural diesel power and will cruise around 20 knots (23–24 knots top)
