2008 Admiral 40 Executive Catamaran (KBH)   Sailor’s dreamboat is ready to sail easily in blue waters!  This Admiral 40 Executive by Admiral Yacht Builders, out of Cape Town, South Africa, is well built, spacious and comfortable, yet strong and tough; well thought out, of course, and designed with lots of storage space. The “Executive” package basically means “fully-loaded,” with all electronics, radar, SSB, generator, front load fridge and freezer, washer/dryer, sails, working gear, fold down flats screens at the nav station and in all cabins, twin Yanmar 29-horsepower diesels, heat/air conditioning and more. In the spacious cockpit, the helmsman’s station and comfortable double bench are to starboard and are well protected from spray peeling off the bows at higher speeds by a removable dodger that spans the entire width of the house. The traveler is on the cabin top and the mainsheet then runs to self-tailing, electric winches. The genoa sheets also run port and starboard to cars and self-tailing winches. The saloon is quite spacious with the galley immediately to port as you enter, the nav station just inside the sliding door to starboard. It offers a swing-out stool, which tucks conveniently out of the way underneath. The large, curved dinette is forward to starboard.  The master stateroom, desk/vanity and large private head occupy the starboard hull, while the double guest cabins and second head fill the port hull. Careful attention to every detail of construction is visible behind the scenes, such as in the lockers. First-rate craftsmanship was also evident in the bulkhead supporting the deck-stepped mast and the extra heavy-duty chainplate structure.  The Admiral 40 is a comfortable cruising home that can also perform. It is tough enough for the open ocean, easy enough for “newbies”.  Current owner offers all tech support needed. MANY MORE PICTURES AVAILABLE!!!  Call us and we will send you the pictures you are looking for.

1979 Red Admiral 2003 Arwen Evenstar is a limited production, semi-custom finished, Red Admiral 36 fiberglass sloop with a diesel auxiliary. She was designed in 1978 by Holman & Pye and built in Scotland in 1979 by MacGruers for performance cruising and IOR racing. Her racing days long over, she has been changed into a very easily handled 2-person long distance cruiser that can make good daily runs (130-135 mpd) with just her normal working sails and feathering propeller. While a relatively “lightweight” design, she is heavily ballasted with deep fin keel and semi-attached spade rudder design. The current owners bought her in Lymington, England, in 1984 and have continually upgraded her over the years. Maintenance is extremely easy to do as all major systems are very accessible. A proven long distance cruiser, she has sailed in many countries in Europe, crossed the Atlantic, spent many months in the Canary Islands and cruised the Caribbean Islands, Venezuela and the ABC islands over a four year period. The owners have done two additional trips back to Puerto Rico and the US / British Virgin Islands since, leaving and returning to New Bern – a off shore passage that takes about 10-1/2 days going down, about 9 days coming back. Although an excellent cruiser, she is of the older world design – not like the current “plastic floating condos”. The all teak interior has lots of lockers for storage and yet still gives off a feeling of warm. She has the expected minor dings here and there that she has rightly earned over the years and thousands of miles of sailing. Arwen Evenstar is a go anywhere cruiser, looking for a young at heart couple that want a good looking, rugged vessel that will get them anywhere they want to go in safety and comfort.

2009 Admiral Executive Duty not paid, not for sale to US buyers in US waters. KAISOSI is one of the last Admiral Executive 40 built. The Admiral Executive was one of the best custom/production catamarans ever imagined. The concept was was to build a top tier fully custom equipped boat instead of building a base luxury catamaran and add options. KAISOSI is probably the most unique of the series. The owners have upgraded even above the factory specifications with the help of the designer Angelo Lavaranos. The hulls were extended over 3 feet to compensate for extra weight and make a fast more stable catamaran. The keels were lengthened and enlarged to improve performance of the original, rather small keels, and the rudders were modified to improve balance. The owners, have spared no expense to make KAISOSI the one of the best designed catamarans to suit their needs and the fortunate buyers.  This boat has been home for the owners and has taken them from the African coast, South America, the Amazon River, French Guyana, Trinidad, US, British, Spanish and the Bahamas. Even though the their sailing future may be coming to an end, they are enjoying the Eastern US coast, still sailing and loving it. Please call or e-mail me to find their latest location. They will be happy to show you the boat and tell you their story. 1955 Admiral 100 Steamship Steamship Admiral (project No 730) (formerly named “Admiralteets”) was built in 1955 in St Petersburg in Russia at the Dubitski shipyard No 711. Admiral was intended to serve the Soviet Navy as an auxiliary ship (tugging and providing with steam and water). The ship had a caisson and a cannon that can be mounted to the deck. In the early days the crew had 22-24 members. Coal was used as fuel and there was (and is) a 500 IHP triplex steam-engine in the heart of the ship During 1989 – 1991 Admiral made several trips to Finland (Helsinki, Naantali and Kotka), Russia (St. Petersburg), Latvia (Riga) and also a long trip to Hamburg (Germany). In 1995 – 1996 the tugboat was thoroughly rebuilt. It was turned into a salon-steamer and a restaurant. The restaurant has been open since 1996 and is specialized in the Mediterranean, Balkan and Russian cuisine. In 1999 it was chosen as the best restaurant in Tallinn (competition held by the largest Estonian weekly newspaper “Eesti Ekspress”). The restaurant is open all year round. It has all valid licenses and EU certificate needed to operate as a catering company.
