2013 Arctic Sailing Research Vessel Oceanographic Polar Scientific S/V Magnus Zaremba is a very specific research vessel. The construction of this sail/motor boat  was inspired by the voyages of the French yacht Tara (the year-long cruise across the Central Basin of the Arctic Ocean in the year 2006, which followed the route of Nansens Fram), hydrological research performed by fishing boats in the Admiralty Bay in the Antarctic King Georges Island, as well as my own forty years of experience as a mariner. From what I know she is  the only yacht of this kind available and the initial three years sea trials had showed that she  fulfills the expectations, as she can  allow to cruise  and work in extreme weather conditions of Polar Seas. In the summer  of the year 2016 Magnus Zaremba performed tasks of GLAERE program for the Institute of Oceanology PAS in Sopot. A short report of this event can be viewed by clicking the video link
