The boat is currently on the hard having blisters removed and the bottom painted. 06/23/2024 Completion time is estimated at August 1st 2024.
The boat shows its age and there are many cosmetic deficiencies. The engine hoses are not leaking but show their age. The boat is clean inside and out. There were no musty old boat smells or engine room fluid smells.
The exterior handrail is very glossy. The teak decks look to be in good condition. The teak toe rail has been painted over, the paint is chipping off. THE GELCOAT HAS EXCESSIVE CRAZING FROM THE FLORIDA SUN. (Please see the pictures, so you know what to expect). This is an old boat with weathered character, not a showpiece.
The exterior sun shades are in nice condition. The exterior cushions and canvas all appear to be in good condition. The non-skid deck surfaces are clean and look to be in very good condition. The helm looks clean and laid out well.
The salon is in very nice condition. The brightwork looks great. No water stains around the windows were seen. T The cushions look to be in great shape. The galley was clean and looks very functional. The helm looks to be in good condition. The gauges are clear and the woodwork looks great.
The forward cabin and head look to be in nice condition and ready for use. The engine room was very bright and clean. There was not any clutter as everything looked well laid out and organized. The engines appeared to be well maintained with minimal corrosion present. The 15 kw generator is in working order, however the 5 kw generator is not in working order. The generator runs then shuts down.
The master stateroom looks clean and bright. The head looks to be clean and functional. There are some signs of water stains around some of the port holes. The floor , cabinets and wood work, look to be in great condition.

The 44 Defever is a heavily built long range cruiser. This bluewater cruiser is equipped with twin Caterpillar 210 horsepower 3208 engines, with 900 gallons of fuel capacity, giving you an extended amount of range. The Naiad stabilizers will keep you steady on course.
Electronics consist of dual Garmin MFDs, auto pilot on both stations, VHF radios.
This vessel is equipped to keep offshore for extended periods of time. There are two Onan generators a 15kw, a 5 kw (that starts but does not stay running) and a 600 watt solar system. The boat has 6 8D Fullriver AGM batteries and one generator starting battery. The boat is equipped with a Kiase invertor. There are 3 ac units to keep you cool and comfortable.
With 325 gallons of freshwater capacity, you can enjoy boating in comfort and the water maker system will produce more than enough water to keep you filled up. There is a washer and dryer on board for convenience.
The spacious aft deck is great for entertaining and enjoying a meal. The sunscreens block the rays, cut down on wind and provide privacy. The walkway has roll up isinglass doors to keep the wind and rain out of the aft deck. There is easy access from the aft deck down the steps to the custom foldable swim platform. The boat comes with an extra full-size anchor and Danforth anchor.
From the aft deck step up to the massive covered flybridge. There are 3 deck boxes for storage, a comfortable L-shaped seat and a built in Jenn-Aire grill. There is easy access to the hard that sits over the aft deck. You can deploy your dingy with ease with the electric davit.
Step down into the beautiful salon, appointed with well-maintained wall panels, cabinetry and floor. To starboard is the galley and counter with stools for eating. A large comfortable sofa has storage underneath for sunshades and enclosures. Opposite of the sofa is a TV for viewing.
The captain has large, raised pedestal seat overlooking the beautiful wooden helm. There is a sliding door on starboard side of the wheelhouse for easy access to the walkways and foredeck.
The spacious aft cabin is adorned with rich paneling and cabinetry. There is an ample sized head and shower. The port holes provide plenty of light and ventilation.
Step down forward from the salon to the forward stateroom, there is plenty of headroom and storage. The forward head has a separate shower stall that has an emergency access door to the engine room. Opposite of the head is the laundry room.
Access to the engine room is from the salon floor panel. The engine room is very bright and clean. It is the full beam giving you plenty of room. The generators, engines, filters and watermaker are easily accessible.
The seller has maintained the boat to the highest standards. The boat just returned from a multi month voyage with no issues. After the boat returned, all maintenance was performed again, making the boat ready for its next adventure.
