The vessel was brought into Port in Boston where she was hauled and inspected. Personal items were removed and the crew drove home to Canada. The mast and rig look good overall, decks and hull look good, main sail is now inside the mast, woodwork and cautions looks good overall, keel and grid will need to be ground out and fiber glassed. It is believed that she will float without taking on water now in its current condition, but would suggest putting a patch on it prior to moving. General Description While she may look a little like a trawler, the Shannon 36 Voyager is built on a planning hull with the power to cruise efficiently at faster speeds than traditional, semi-displacement trawlers of her day (Grand Banks, Inland Gypsy, etc.). The modified-V hull of the Shannon, fully cored and relatively light for her size, is quick to plane, and her fine entry and well-flared bow make for a comfortable, dry ride in a chop. The two-stateroom, galley-up teak interior, features a lower helm station and built-in dinette in the salon, a sit-down shower in the head, and a queen bed in the forward stateroom. A hatch in the salon sole provides access to the engines. Like all trawler-style boats, the Shannon's salon dimensions are somewhat limited thanks to her wide side decks.The cockpit is very large with room for a small crowd. Topside, the fly bridge will seat six and includes a wet bar and adjustable cocktail table. Additional features include; a teak parquet cabin sole, teak exterior trim, radar mast, wide side decks, and a bow pulpit. Essentially a semi-custom boat, Twin 300 hp Cat 3126 diesels, provide a cruising speed of 16-18 knots. Actual Condition It is reported this vessel was stored in the insureds driveway, where they owned their own boat ramp. A local marina hauled it out after the storm, and placed it on blocks and stands. CSI went in a removed the hardtop fly bridge and bow rails for transport to our Mendon, MA location. 2004 Beneteau 292 Oceanis CURRENT PRICE IS A GUIDE. ALL OFFERS RESPECTFULLY CONSIDERED. Actual Condition It is reported this 393 Beneteau was underway and approaching a draw bridge, that was on its way down. The owner was not able to back the vessel up and the current was taking it towards the bridge. As a result, the forward and mid stay struck the bridge. Upon impact the forward stay cable broke, the mid stay pulled a section of the deck up damaging the deck and hatch. The mast fell back towards the cockpit and landed onto the deck and dodger frames. (dodger framework is not with vessel) The mast appears to be in good condition overall, but some rigging needs to be repaired. There are some light cosmetic scuffs and scratches on the hull. The rudder has some gouges at the very bottom from prior use and the roller/ furling sail is weathered. The main sail condition is unknown at this time, as it is stored inside of mast. The vessel never took on any water, because the damaged area on the deck has been covered up with plastic. The interior is in very nice condition overall. The cushions are clean The engine appears to be in very good condition and CSI will be glad to start for the buyer at the time of sale.
