This boat is in need of some repairs but is a great candidate for a redo and a fresh start. The teak on the deck could use some attention but it is all there and serviceable. The gelcoat is starting to peel at the thru-hulls and should be addressed along with a deep gouge on the starboard side hull just under the gunnel. The cabin has some issues that should be addressed. There looks like there have been some water intrusion in the bow cabin and one of the bulkheads shows some delamination. The rest of the woodwork seems to be in very good condition. The engine looks good with very low hours. This is reported to have been in good working condition when the boat was put into storage. Aside from the issues mentioned below, the owner confirms the boat is in overall good condition, though there is some wear and tear and the boat could use a cleaning. Yet to be completed is the replacement of the V-berth thruhull and seacock (handle didn't turn easily enough). The major issue the seller reports is that a rebuild of the rudder is needed, which accounts for the reduction in price. Upon completion of the above, the only thing from a safety standpoint he suggests to a new owner is to replace the lifelines with dyneema. Then go sailing. Stock #328971 Solid, heavy build, coastal and bluewater cruiser! Located in Portland, CT, this 1981 Endeavour is a Plan B with the V-berth forward. She is a seaworthy vessel capable of transatlantic crossings and cruising the coasts. The Schmoo II is a built like a tank and makes a comfortable liveaboard with her shoal draft. The captain and crew will sail in comfort in the large and roomy cockpit with a removable table. Downwind handling is aided by a boom brake. The interior cabin features a V-berth forward (Plan B) with filler, ventilators, and a hanging locker. The salon sleeps 3 with port and starboard settees, with the starboard settee converting to a double bed. She includes cushions and storage drawers beneath and above the settees, bookshelves, a bulkhead-mounted folding dinette table, 110 shore power, 12V plugs, and a hot water heater that runs off the engine or 110V shore power. Additional sleeping quarters include an aft quarter berth cabin which can also be used for storage when not used for passengers. Her galley includes a gimbaled stove/oven, an icebox (not to be confused with a refrigerator), and a double stainless-steel sink. The Endeavour is a solid, heavy, sturdy boat with a fiberglass hull and deck. The engine is a Perkins 4-108 diesel. She is far younger than her age by virtue of having her home port in the Northeast for the last 25 years where the sailing season is less than five months long and she was properly stored on the hard the remaining months of the year.
