1960 Boothbay 33 Downeast Cruiser
She is a truly beautiful downeast cruiser out of Boothbay Boat Works in downeast Maine. She has been in the same family for 40+ years and she has been well maintained. She has been through several refits and constant maintenance upgrades over the years. She is presently nearing completion of another upgrade including removal and rebuilding of engines, revamping of fuel components, system upgrades and addition & upgrades of electronics when complete. Work to date is approximately 75% complete and done to Bristol fashion. 2016 Survey values her at $50,000-$60,000. Many upgrades and cosmetic improvements have already been accomplished including a custom mahogany pulpit. The owner has decided that he just has too many bucket list items to give her the attention she deserves and has decided to pass her on to someone who will give her that attention. She is powered by T-265 HP FWC Palmer "Int'l Harvester" 392 cid Inboards teamed with Paragon P-33 transmissions with 2:1 reduction. There is a 2016 Survey available to interested buyers.

HAWKSBILL was one of only 5 of this type of vessel built. This particular HAWKSBILL was built as a gentleman's Sword Fishing boats with an unusual flybridge configuration and a huge fishing cockpit.
She has an exceptional pedigree designed by John Alden and custom built in 1965 in East Boothbay Maine by one of the all time greatest boat builders, Sonny Hodgdon of Hodgdon Bros.
The boat has a n incredible history. Initially built for a writer from NY as a sword fishing boat which was his passion.
