Caliber 40 (LRC) "Serena"
"Serena" was custom built for its present experienced yacht owner by Caliber Yachts Inc. in Clearwater Florida, and incorporates all the latest design experience of this quality blue water sailboat builder plus numerous unique owner upgrades.
This 2003 Caliber 40, Long Range Cruiser (LRC) meets all those expectations. The 40 LRC has standard features like Water Tight Collision Bulkhead, Water-Tight Rudder Dam, Caliber Smart Electrical System, Caliber Smart Fuel System, Convertible Cutter Rig and much more.
With her large capacity fuel and water tanks, "Serena" is set up for long distance sailing and live-aboard with 3 custom solar panels. She is fitted with a large "fridge/freezer", propane stove with two propane tanks and a lot of storage space. She has two double berths, two heads, each with hot/cold pressure shower facilities, a large comfortable salon with a capacious extending dining table, and a chart table and seat at the electrical panel.

General Condition: When rough water makes most sailors miserable, a Caliber owner can cruise in comfort. And with confidence. The Caliber moves more steadily in heavy seas. And due to her high ballast-to-displacement ratio, the Caliber is very stable. The cockpit is arranged to provide the captain complete control with ease and efficiency for short-handed sailing. The innovative steering pedestal, designed with housings for all your cockpit mounted instruments. In addition other instrument displays are mounted over the companionway for easy viewing from anywhere in the cockpit. A remote key pad mounted on the pedestal controls these companionway mounted displays. A custom hard dodger along with a full Bimini covers the entire cockpit. There is also a full enclosure included. Deck stowage space is a rare commodity on many center-cockpit boats. It is abundant on the Caliber 47LRC. Two deck lockers forward and two aft can accommodate large items. In addition a sizable anchor well at the bow features separate tackle compartments for two anchors. The extra strong anchor platform simplifies anchor handling.
