A bold departure from Carver’s past history of conservative styling, the 396 Motor Yacht (called the 39 MY in 2005–6; 40 MY in 2007) is a scaled-down version of Carver’s equally controversial 506 MY (also introduced in the year 2000) with the same tiered elliptical cabin windows, high freeboard and Euro styling. On the inside, the 396 is a stunning display of interior volume unmatched in a boat this size. The salon is immense with a panoramic outside view and about seven feet of headroom. The full-beam salon configuration is made possible by raising the side decks to eye level, which is why the boat appears to have so much freeboard. Both staterooms have walkaround double berths, and heads have separate stall showers. Original owners! The owners of this vessel have kept all systems up to date and have cruised her from South Florida to Maine. I personally know the owners and the vessel as they live next door to me in Palm Coast. The salon A/C unit was upgraded to a larger size unit to allow for ample cooling over the factory one. Interior carpet color is an off white. This is a one owner 2005 Carver 396 Aft Cabin Motor Yacht that only has 173 hours on her Volvo 370hp Diesels. She is loaded up with SAT TV, Bow thruster, Raymarine Chartplotter/Radar, Bow Pads, Upper Cockpit Icemaker, Kohler Generator and more. She has just had a full detail and her gel coat shines like new! All the vinyl is in excellent shape with new canvas protecting it from the sun.
