Very Rare fully restored 1973 Chris Craft XK-22 MS JLG Number 64 of 75 1st Place Winner South Lake Tahoe Wooden Boat Classic 2015 From the moment she traces along the shoreline, it’s clear to many viewers that Ms. JLG is a very special watercraft. As a very rare sport boat assembled with various marine parts and supplies from the original home of the Chris Craft Corporation, Ms. JLG’s hull was fabricated in Pompano Beach, FL, in 1973. Purchased from its second owner in 2004 and brought from its home in Oyster Bay, NY, Ms. JLG was completely restored in Boulder City, NV, by the fall of 2007. The final restoration included a new Gel-coat exterior finish to highlight the boat’s spectacular unique hull design and interior outfitted with the original JLG corporate colors along with fabric patterns to match its 1973 debut. At 22’ 9” long and weighing 3300 lbs., this particular XK22 version from Chris Craft came with the rare 1973 Corvette 350 engine that produces up to 320-horsepower for Ms. JLG. Developed as an ocean-going vessel by world-class hull designer and XK22 project manager, Dick Avery, Ms. JLG was outfitted with the state-of-the-art Volvo 270 Velvet Drive to compliment its powerhouse engine which together propels it to 55 MPH even with a full load of people and gear on board. As additional evidence of Ms. JLG’s rarified status, there were only 220 of these XK22s manufactured by Chris Craft between 1971 and 1976.
