Per the Seller: The unit is very clean and has been very well maintained. All the electronics are reported to be in working order. The boat is currently on the hard. All photos are current and were taken by the seller and provided to the listing representative who is responsible for managing the listing The breakdown of the specs and features of the boat are available below the photo gallery of the listing for review. Stock #244428 Turn the key and hear her rumble. Restored and ready for the water. This 1956 CHRIS-CRAFT SPORTSMAN is a classic boat! The boat hails from Ohio where the current owner purchased her in 2010. The boat had been sitting in a barn for 30 years at the time of purchase. The current owner took the boat and had her hull and interior upholstery professionally refurbished in Cincinnati, Ohio before bringing her to New Hampshire. The boat has always been in freshwater only, she has never seen saltwater. The current owner has always properly winterized her and stored her indoors. The seller had a custom cover designed for the boat that includes a skirt that fully covers the mahogany wood to protect it. The boat is perfect for cruising around as well as participating in simple water sports if so desired. The horn on the boat is chrome and will for sure get attention when used: especially if you need to get the ducks out of your way! The seller loves the boat; however, due to physical limitations is unable to get in and out of the boat with ease and as much as it's difficult to let her go; the seller doesn't want to let her just sit around and collect dust for another 30 years when she can be bringing the same to her next owner as she did to her current owner. The next owner is in for a treat and will not be disappointed with this classic Chris-Craft runabout! Reason for selling is unable to use.

The Chris-Craft El Capitan is in the process of a complete rebuild. The owners moved and can only complete the rebuild in small stages. List of Restoration for Completion: 1. The only glass that needs to be replaced are the two sliding windows on the starboard side to "match the port side". The port side has been completely done. 2. Refrigerator is present but needs to be permanently installed. Once that is done, the new owner can then put the finishing touches on the galley counter. Cabinet doors needed. 3. Needs water system and water tank installed so there is running water to head and galley. 4. Needs holding tank. 5. Walls and floor in head need to be finished with coverings of choice. 6. Salon floor to be finished also with flooring of choice. 6. Transom navigation lights need to be wired. Power is already there. 7. Gold leaf kit with boat name and port of call has never been installed. The new owner may choose to "finish" the transom first. 8.Entire back deck has been replaced with new old-growth fir. Finishing work needs to be completed, and hinging of deck hatches needs to be completed. The owner has a large number of totes containing documentation and parts for the project. Stock #246274 Major Upgrades and Restoration, Classic Must See Pacific Northwest Cruiser There was only about 150 Chris Craft El Capitan 33 Cruiser built for 2 years in 1953 and 1954. The interior was gutted and is about 70% completed. I am currently waiting on a list of the work that is currently completed. Below you will find a list of the unfinished work to be completed. The boat has always been stored in a covered freshwater slip. The slip has the potential to be transferred to the new owner. This is a rare find and a vintage beauty. The El Capitan is a very seaworthy boat and needs nothing to take her out for a cruise. She is looking for a loving owner who can complete the work and bring her glory to completeness. No doubt, this is a wonderful opportunity for a collector or classic antique boat lover. Reason for selling is moved.

The seller is motivated and ready to see this boat go to a deserving good home. This is a boat for the person who loves the thrill of being on the water but yet maintaining a classic. Are you ready to make heads turn and are you ready to answer where did you get this beauty? Get your offer in quick because finding a 2 owner like this is unlikely to happen again. Stock #106391 This vessel was SOLD on September 24. Do you want to turn heads when you are on the water? Do you want to bring back the days when skiing was a family activity. The days of flying the American flag off of the back of your boat. Not only can you been the one on the lake that every one is talking about but you can do it for just a few dollars. (Just think how much money those guys wasted on those $100,000 high performance boats and they don't get near the number of looks you do). According to the seller this is a 2 owner boat that will take you where you want to go. But what will make it fun is that it can be driven from the aft seat with the secondary stick and rudder steering. Think about your dog searing up in the captains chair while you and your favorite person are sitting on the aft couch. If I haven't made this sound like a fun boat but you are still reading then think of it as a true collectors item. It appears to be nearly authentic partial restoration with just enough patina to feel like you have just driven it out of the 1950's.

COMES WITH BOAT COVER, ROOM TO MOVE AROUND, WINDSHIELD, WOOD HULL AND MUCH MORE INCLUDED!! History The Chris Craft heritage of building beautiful boats started in a small town in Algonac, Michigan. It was here that 13-year-old Christopher Columbus Smith built his first boat in 1874. His boats - referred to as "punts" or "skiffs"- quickly earned him a reputation as a master boat builder, and the demand for them grew and grew. Chris-Craft was the largest manufacturer of production wooden boats and remains one the most sought-after marques of classic and collectible runabouts today. During the second world war, Chris-Craft turned its attention to helping the country. It began building patrol boats, utility launches, and rescue vessels for the United States Navy and Army. And by 1945, had built 12,000 military vessels. This Chris craft has been restored to near perfection and almost everything has been kept original. Reason for selling is not using anymore, time for another to enjoy!.
