This vessel is in top running condition. The owner, a marine mechanic, says the motors are running at 500%. Down below the boat is in fine condition, with original Chis-Craft fixtures and cabinetry. The bulkheads and walls down below have all been refurbished, the carpet is in great condition and interior woodwork has bee redone. GREAT sound system with 100 amp power booster and Cerwin Vega speakers. Owner cruised her constantly at 1700 RPM. This Chris-Craft is a great chance for someone handy looking for a great running yacht at a great price. Down below, she will be easy to make into your dream boat with plenty of opportunity for you to make her what you want. The exterior needs TLC, but nothing that can't be fixed with elbow grease, rubbing compound and wax. The aft toe-rails have to be re-bedded and there is leakage on the starboard side that has led to leakage into the aft cabin that can be repaired with commercially available products. The overall condition of this vessel appears to be sound, The owner had the vessel hauled out 5 years ago, and found it to be in better than expected condition. All of the through hull fittings were inspected good, the zincs were replaced, and the bottom was cleaned and painted. Yes, this boat does need some TLC, as would be expected on an older boat. The seller is aware of several issues that need attention. The galley fridge doesn't work, there is a refrigerator in the cockpit that works, and the original fridge under the captain's seat still works. There are also a variety of gauges that don't function, and the seller knows of one soft spot on the port side of the cockpit deck, there is evidence that the port side windows have been leaking, and it could be related. The owner has also unhooked the port batteries from the charger because of an overcharging issue; he believes the battery isolator is not wired correctly. The port engine shows 3775 hours, and the Starboard has 3423 hours on them. The top end of the engines was rebuilt at approximately 2200 hours. Two years ago the owner rebuilt the Starboard transmission and replaced the port engine's supercharger and starter. The seller is including a functional VHF radio and GPS, but all other electronics on the bridge are non-functional. There is a lift for a tender that has been removed for paint. The diesel heater was repaired about two years ago but is in need of attention again. The owners work responsibilities are preventing him from spending as much time with this vessel as he would like to. Bring your offer; all will be considered. Her current owner, who has owned her since 2004, says the boat and engine are in good condition. She starts, runs and goes very well. He has indicated that he has taken very good care of her and when you pull the oil dip stick you will see a gold and clear color, always!! New Oil, New Oil Filter & Tune Up Every Year. With her 60 gal fuel tank, the current owner says he has never used all the fuel in 1 season and he estimates that the hours of use on the engine since the re-build done in 2001 are approximately 150-200 hours. The previous owner before him rarely took the boat out, was not comfortable (scared) and used it as a condo. Hence the low hours. The water holding tank needs replacement and the owner says $100.00 should take care of it. No receipts available on the engine re-build or maintenance, owner performed tune ups,oil changes and general service himself. Owner has the original Chris-Craft Owners Manual.
