1970 Bertram International Flying Eagle Do not miss the opportunity to own a truly iconic yacht with thoroughbred lineage and record setting history when Richard Bertram raced against the clock for the Chapman Trophy in 1969. By setting a record of Miami to New York non-stop in 54 hours 8 minutes averaging 19 knots "Envoy" Hull #1 the sistership of this very yacht made history.  This was a first for a yacht of this size and marked the beginning for Bertram building large motor yachts. Richard Bertram went on to having 13 of these special yachts built at infamous Yokosuka-City Japan shipyard.  The owner of this particular vessel # 9 of 13, has all of the original provenance substantiating the build including original drawings and the signatures of the engineers and craftsman who used their hands for this Flying Eagle.  Every last electrical wire and water pipe is depicted in it's original schematics. This Flying Eagle has had numerous systems replaced over the years and has features found only on much larger class motor yachts.  See descriptions for years items replaced.
