2004 Cobalt 220 FANTASTIC FAMILY BOW RIDER ! LOW HOURS * CLEAN BOAT * PRICED RIGHT ! MAKE AN OFFER * GET THE FAMILY ON THE WATER! This Cobalt 220 is a stylish runabout, known for its first class fit and finish, in the 22-foot class, especially for  those who venture out in the big water. She is easily trailerable, and big enough for most purposes. Cobalt's 220 was the first of the new wave of comfortable bow riders and it's a dandy. Cobalt built her using a naval architect, that had one directive for this boat, "No compromises." The result is a stunning example of the best of contemporary boat-building artistry. Cobalt's signature seven layers of hand laid fiberglass plus all-fiberglass stringers and honeycomb Nida-Core floors, provide the weight and the quiet. However, hull thickness alone does not explain the Cobalt's easy ride. Walk up to the front of a 220 and you'll be struck by the narrow angle of the bow. A sharper bow does nothing to detract from the boat's other performance attributes. The rest of Cobalt's extended running surface hull combines a wide beam sitting on a Deep-V with functional bottom strakes and reverse chines. Lunging on to plane with little bow rise, the boat's acceleration, speed and handling never fail to please. Crank the wheel at speed and the 220 banks like a fighter plane, on track and skate-free. Performance notwithstanding, a luxury boat means luxury features and the 220 exudes quality and style. The gelcoat has a gleam of its own. The upholstery is lush and beautifully sewn. Check the details, starting at the stem with a polished stainless scuff plate protecting the hull behind the bow eye. The eye is flanked by flush-mounted halogen docking lights. There are fender storage pockets at either side of the windshield. Below that there's a folding door to block a chilly breeze from the bow area. Generously-sized helm seats incorporate flip-up bolsters and offer a wide range of adjustment. The dash, done up in stitched upholstery and real wood grain, features stainless steel toggle switches set in powder coated aluminum panels. Flick one of those toggles and the hidden stern light swords skyward like a car's power antenna. Click another and the large engine compart
