NO WATER TRIAL. Being sold AS IS WHERE IS. PLEASE ALSO NOTE No batteries aboard. The seller makes no claims as to what works and what doesn't. According to the seller, the engine room had some rainwater intrusion and the engine may have suffered damage as now she will turn over but not run. She is in definite need of a mechanical evaluation to see if this can be repaired, rebuilt, or replaced. It's a Perkins diesel, so likely she is repairable. This engine came with the boat when the sellers purchased her and had been reliable all those years. There are no batteries aboard but would normally take 4 marine batteries. She needs some TLC to bring her back to her glory. Please know this is somewhat of a project boat, no water trials or engine survey (engine won't start), this is being sold as is where is. The place where you see the white tape is where there is some rotten wood that needs addressing. I visited this boat and walked the entire boat, there are no soft spots on the deck. I found it easy to see her beauty even though she needs some work, this was once a gorgeous boat and can be again. When the sellers rehabbed the boat, one of the things they did was to replace the old deck with marine plywood and epoxy the deck. It's very solid but could use a paint job. I noted some wood rot in a few places and photographed all I could see. The boxes under the chairs have some wood rot inside and need addressing. Stock #269396 This vessel was SOLD on April 2. We are offering this rare 1973 32' Downeast yacht with a well-deserved reputation and enthusiastic following. The cockpit engine box doubles as a working surface. And it is VERY heavy. The raised double helm seats give good visibility from behind a distinctive wood-framed windscreen. She was designed and built to the work the water off of Martha's Vineyard. Wasque (Way-squee) was named after the southeastern tip of Chappaquiddick known as Wasque Point. The interior features a useable galley with a Force 10 propane 2 burner stove, Dometic RM 2354 refrigerator, Tappan TM4040S microwave oven, ISO Temp SQ 16V Hot water heater, and a Xantrex Tru 20 battery charger, an enclosed Jabsco Marine head with Electra san and Y-valve, and forward V-berth to sleep two comfortably. Inside the cabin on the floor is Pennsylvania Cherry and Holly. The cabinets are teak as is much of the trim throughout the boat. This is the perfect boat for a couple who is looking for a classic displacement pocket cruiser. Electronics include a Danforth Constellation compass and Standard Horizon Intrepid VHF. There is a Furuno radar on the hardtop, but no controls for it unknown if it works. This boat was purchased in 2004 by the current owners who performed a total rehab on her including a new hardtop and she was beautiful. They spent $125,000 on her back then. They do admit she has been neglected a bit, but with a little love and elbow grease, she can easily be brought back to her glory again! There are 2 fuel tanks totaling 55 gallons and are both aluminum. This vessel is Coast Guard documented. The antique horn is not included with the sale of the boat. NO WATER TRIAL. 1974 Jarvis Newman Jarvis Down East 36 MUST SEE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY-Powered with a 2006 Yanmar 380 hp Turbo Diesel.  Engine only has 380 hours of use.  Runs, Last Ran 1/17.  North star Generator only has 46 hours.  This boat was restored in 2012.  If you know the Jarvis Newman, you understand the craftsmanship that went into building her.  She is loaded with electronics including radar, autopilot, VHF, satellite radio, and a fish finder.  All in working order except the fish finder which would not power up (might just be a fuse).  She has ac, Teleflex electric shift control, Yanmar electronic LCD engine monitor, heater, updated electric including breaker panels, LPG system, fully enclosed head, and more.  Bottom was recently painted and she is now in the water ready for use.  She can use some paint and varnish work here and there, nothing too difficult.  The analog gauges at the helm stopped working but the Yanmar engine monitoring system works just fine.  The teak aft deck is developing some rot in the framework.  Very common for a 43 year old boat in Florida.  Two pilot house windows are cracked but it looks like a fairly easy job to replace them.  Stop by and take a look.  She is a very handsome boat from a high quality designer and builder.
