PHOENIX - Designed by Steve Seaton and built by Durbeck Boatbuilders in Sarasota, FL. Originally designed and built as a whale research vessel, she is built to go anywhere in any weather. Research Vessel Phoenix was only in service for two years before being converted to a cruising yacht with input from Marlow Marine. She retains her indestructible heritage while adding all the luxurious amenities you could wish for in a world cruising yacht - her equipment and fit and finish can only be appreciated in person.
Powered by a single Cummins 6BTA 5.9M diesel with only 1000 hours, Phoenix holds enough fuel and is efficient enough (3gph @ 8 knots) to travel the world.
