However, a recent inspection revealed some external corrosion on the aluminum fuel tank, scupper hoses needing replacement and some stringer areas with moisture readings and possibly some delaminations. The owner of this Grady-White 272 Sailfish states the boat is in very good condition for the year. The boat has been lift kept ( no bottom painted needed ) and the current owner has owned the boat since 2012. There is no hour meter, but he estimates the engine hours to be around 500. Recent updates to the boat include engine service, compression for all 12 cylinders are less than 5% difference, the owner confirms. Plugs, filters, lower unit gear oil have been serviced in the last three months. Throttle cables have also been replaced. Batteries (3) are less than 3 years old. Recent survey found several issues, the main ones include a steering issue, possibly lack of hydraulic fluid which seller is addressing now. Also some soft spots/high moisture, gel coat flaking on hard top, cracked hoses, excessive water in bilge & possibly near fuel tanks, isinglass will likely need to be replaced. Also the trailer needs tires and the wiring is shot. On a positive note, surveyor mentioned both motors cranked right up and ran strong. **A POP rep has not viewed this vessel in person.
