1982 Grand Banks 42 Motoryacht The Grand Banks 42 Motoryacht "Andrea Jean" has a very practical layout with a sturdy fiberglass construction, deep water design, and long range capability - all adding up to a complete cruising boat. The Grand Banks semi-displacement hull design, with a fine entry forward, hard chines aft, and a full keel has been proven on waters around the world. The bulwarks surrounding the wide main deck are capped with a sturdy teak safety rail providing safe movement from bow to stern for those on board making it ideal for a couple with children or guests.  Her single diesel power (Lehman 120) will cruise economically at 7.5 knots with an approximate 1.5 to 2 gallons per hour fuel burn. By shifting the house aft and raising the side decks aft, as compared to the Classic, GB gained enough interior space in the Motoryacht to provide increased living space with a spacious, full-width stateroom aft, and two staterooms forward. Out on deck, the raised side and aft decks provide a second alfresco living space over the aft stateroom in addition to the spacious flybridge deck. Access is much more elegant with proper stairs from the forward decks to the aft deck and continuing up to the flybridge. Between her welcoming decks, spacious salon and 3-stateroom layout, the Motoryacht is an excellent vessel for entertaining family and friends.

1987 Grand Banks 49 Motoryacht MAJOR PRICE REDUCTION...... DONT DELAY OR IT WILL BE GONE!  The Grand Banks is one of the most dependable long range cruising yachts in the world. When American Marine builds these yachts, reliability and dependability are the primary goals.  Only 150 of this motor yacht design were built.  From the bottom of the keel to the rub rail the fiberglass is 3/4 inch thick. The full length keel extends well below the propellers. In a grounding the keel protects the propellers.  Ease of handling is primary in any yacht. This Grand Banks has two 375HP Caterpillars that turn the optional four blade 22 inch propellers.   At idle speed, this yacht will rotate in its own length. This yacht can be maneuvered in turns and in docking with just the props and engine power. The deep full length keel contributes to the stability during docking and provides an overall comfortable ride.  Below the water line the bottom has been painted with new anti-fouling paint, the propellers have been removed, inspected and reinstalled, new cutlass bearings and new zincs installed. Above the water line the hull has been buffed and waxed. The stainless steel rub rail has been cleaned and waxed. While under way the auto pilot can take control to steer the yacht on predetermined course. Small and large corrections to the heading are easily accomplished from the auto pilot control on the bridge or from the control station located inside the lower helm.  Cruising at 9 kts, 1300 RPM, the fuel consumption is an efficient 3 gallons per hour per engine.  While cruising there is no need for the generators as this Grand Banks is equipped with a new Xantex 3000 watt inverter charger. The refrigerator/ freezer and ice maker remain operational via the engines, inverter and the 4d battery bank. New 4d house batteries and new 8D starting batteries were installed recently.  The aft cabin has a island style queen bed, very large hang up storage lockers, two fresh water flushing toilets with a USCG approved holding tank.  Under the Queen bed are two spare propellers, tools for changing the props, and storage for charts, flags and manuals. Each head has a full size shower, with the washer and dryer located in the starboard head.  The forward cabin has very large V berth and a second cabin with two single beds. There is a full size shower with storage for dive gear. The forward toilet is sea water flush. Under the floor you find excessive storage.  The salon is the galley up design. The galley includes a propane gas range, microwave, ice maker and refrigerator/freezer and abundant storage for all required cooking equipment and supplies. The salon has seating for 6 with comfort.  If you are looking for the most dependable live aboard and cruising yacht in the world for your family and friends, then this Grand Banks is for you.  Recent survey available on request.
