She was repowered from original Perkins engines to her Cummins 480-CE 8.3 liter engines. The Cummins engines upgrade the power and increase the speed capability of this 49 MY to 20 knots.
In addition, because the engines are electronically monitored, they are compatible with the NEMA 2000 Backbone installed in 2016. Engine parameters can be displayed on either of the two SIMRAD MFDs on the flybridge (NSS-EVO2-12" and GO7-XSE).
