The 53' Hatteras Convertible is a timeless, fish-raising, open water beast of a fishing yacht. There have been many of these classic boats restored... but none to this level of restoration, a project that began with an empty shell! It all took place in 2012 starting with rebuilding the engine room stringers and replacing every bulkhead, new bridge, new windows, repowering with Cat 3406s, adding a mezzanine and so much more!!! She has been rebuilt very thoughtfully and tastefully without any corners being cut. Above the bulkheads the structure has been rebuilt with extensive use of Nidacore to both lower the weight as well as to lower the center of gravity. She is nimble and responsive; yet still the classic Carolina Battle Wagon. Her lines have incorporated the modernly desirable yet timeless Carolina custom yachts.....
