I have owned two 18' Egrets ( glass and kevlar) and this boat is just as versatile but a lot more quiet in my opinion.This boat has more dry storage than my 21 Yellowfin with even a special storage (dry) area under the seat almost the full width. This boat is harder to pole than the super light skiffs especially in the wind but I have poled many a mile with it from the Marquesas to Islamorada and in Everglades National Park. The puck for mounting the Minnkota can be removed with the 4 machine screws that I have tapped into the phenolic board for an absolutely flush forward deck for fly fishing.
