1998 Hewes 20 LIGHT TACKLE
Hewes 20 LT purchaced in 1998 and used under 50 hours, completely refurbished in 2014. The hull was completely stripped and painted with Bahamas Blue and decks with Off White Awlgrip. All fittings including running lights, scuppers, hinges, screws, bolts and rod holders were replaced with new stainless steel hardware. A Rough Water console was installed with SS tie-downs that will accommodate a Yeti 50. Powered by a new 2014 Yamaha SHO 150 4 stroke on an Atlas 6" hydraulic jack plate with digital meter and turn signal lever control beneath a SS wheel with suicide knob, new hydraulics and ram. All new Yamaha binnicle control with electric tilt, digital speedometer, tachometer and water pressure gauges, Lenco trim tabs and control. Lowrance HPS 9 Gen 2 GPS/Sonar with Structure scan LLS2 bundle on RAM mount, ICOM M400BB VHF radio. All LED lighting including navigation, running, blue under gunnel cockpit and white well and deck box lighting, underwater and spreader lights, custom New Wire Marine carbon fiber look switch panel with circuit breakers, battery isolator switch, 50 amp breaker to accessories, labeled fuse box, wired for trolling motor with two bow foot switches, two new Marine Pro battery chargers in console and rear well wired to single 30 Amp SS receptical for charging. Bow removable rotating pedestal seat with gimbal, custom console removable grab rail and rear arch with removable rigging station, four rod holders and fold down antenna. Low profile Frisela Design removable push pole detentes. Circular rear bait well, salt water wash down, front well aerator. All pumps and hoses are new. Large rear locking deck box was insulated on 5 sides and plumbed to water (not into hull) so it can be used as an insulated fish box. Front lockable storage box. All new custom cushions, Bimini top with quick release mounts and custom trailering covers.
The trailer is a twin axle Seahawk with aluminum I-beam construction, stainless steel upgrade, aluminum wheels with mounted, matching spare. Tie downs and engine brace for towing.
Accessories include a fluke anchor, retractable hose,rod holder mounted cutting board that stows in front well, secured fire extinguisher, 24V Great White trolling motor.
The boat has been used about five times since the rehab and has about 10 hours on the engine. The gas tank was professionally cleaned prior to having the engine installed. No expense was spared on this Hewes and it really is a one of a kind vessel.
