2017 Hurricane 231 Center Console Over the years Hurricane deckboats have gained a reputation for maximizing seating capacity, but the SS 231 OB actually reduces seating. In order to fit in a center console and have wide side aisles so anglers, or guests, can pass fore and aft, Hurricane has blown out the midships seating. By creating the two wide "side decks" the builder has opened up the boat making it far easier to move back and forth. Several fishing amenities have been put aboard to entice casual anglers and to create a multi-use boat, but our guess is that most people will be attracted to this model because of all of its deck space. It has a rated capacity for 12 people.
