1996 J Boats J/80 Offered for sale, two fully rigged J80 sailboats Bear Instinct and Polaris. These boats are in amazing condition, and ready to race as they come. One 1996 and one 1994 J boat J80s in excellent condition. Complete overhaul in 2014 to get these boats ready for the races includes: Bottom Paint Sump rebuild Halyards and Harken boom vang New 2014 Schurr racing sails New Mercury Motors These boats come with a wide array of sails. Racing main and Jib, Cruising main and jib, blade jib, 150 Genoa, reaching spinnaker and running spinnaker. Jibs are equipped with Harken rollers. Each boat comes with a 2014 Mercury 5 Horse motor with external/internal tank options. External fuel tank included with each boat. Comes with sail covers for main.Multiple wench handles, Bolster chairs, extra battens, sail bags, and lines. Everything you need to win races plus much more extra rigging. Sailing World magazine rated J/80 as easier to handle, less intimidating, safer and better suited for sailing offshore than other modern sport boats tested. The main picture is a Stock photo, as we have none of "Rosie" under full sail. All other pictures are of her in storage. She had her first few years in Salt Water and has been in Fresh Water on Lake Michigan since. If you are even looking at this ad, hopefully you have sailed in one, been to their website and know their quality and that they are ranked as the best there is, in sport boats: jboats dot com /j80 This particular sailboat has been in cradle for 2 years (owner now lives out of State). Original owner was off Coronado Island (San Diego), so it did see salt water in it's first years, but I saw no signs while on deck taking pictures. It was put on a semi and hauled to Michigan.
