The 1,498cc powerplant is enhanced by a intercooled supercharger with power put out by a 160mm-diameter impeller. The 300LX screams “deluxe” from stem to stern. Its special luxury features include large chromed trim pieces, a special paint scheme and the LXury seat, a scalloped seat designed for the ultimate in rider and passenger comfort. Contoured for a superb fit, the two-tone saddle is thickly padded for exceptional plushness. A GPS-mountable handlebar pad – which allows the use of a wide range of popular GPS devices to be mounted using accessory hardware – is also standard equipment on the Ultra 300LX. Power and thrust are what owners are looking for in a larger Jet Ski, and the 300 LX packs plenty of both, along with strong internal engine parts to handle all that power and help ensure typical Kawasaki reliability. Advanced technology in the form of a high-tech supercharger and Kawasaki’s Electronic Throttle Valve system and the race-derived hull both give the kind of top-tier handling hardcore enthusiasts expect. The Eaton Twin Vortices Series (TVS) roots supercharger, introduced just last year in the 300LX, features twin four-lobe rotors and offers an impressive performance compared to its supercharger peers. Roots-type superchargers are known as fixed-displacement units, which produce large quantities of boost at all rpm, even right off idle, for a flat torque curve and usable, step-free power across the rev range. That’s a good thing. This supercharger is capable of a smooth power delivery, due to its ability to channel compressed air through at a steady rate, instead of in waves, as other superchargers do. Mechanical losses are only 10 percent. A liquid-cooled intercooler helps keep the compressed intake charge cool, which stops power-robbing heat from sapping the system’s efficiency. There’s more.
