The condition is good for the age. The boat is on the hard and winterized so it needs a good Spring washdown and waxing. All features function, but the original vinyl surfaces show the wear expected of a 1989 boat. The interior has been modified with additional storage jn place of a dinette. Stock #344657 This is a great example of the Luhrs Tournament 342! Ready to go for a great Summer! The Silverton 34 Sportfish Convertibles were one of the most popular boats they manufactured, and this example shows why. This vessel has not been used much the last 2 years and thus is in need of some basic TLC. Both motors are operable but the generator needs to be serviced and repaired. The interior is above average for its year and was redone at some point. This listing is for a beautiful 1988 Luhrs 342 Sportfisherma. This is not your typical Luhrs Yatch, everything on this boat has been reupholstered or replaced given the boat a more modernized appearance, no expense has been spared. The entire boat's interior lining has been change from a drab grey into a two tone black and charcoal grey. Also replaced were all the original rugs with brand new carpeting throughout the whole boat, even the aft deck and bridge had been provided with new ones. If you look around, one can veiw NEW APLIANCES, new two seater reclining couch, custom blinds, curtains and bed spead. Not to mention, the pillow and sheets are embroidered with the boat's name. Also added, was a play station 3 for the kids and for the adults a $2800 surround sound audio system, that includes a Kenwood Kvt flip- out screen which allows everything audio to perform through the radio settings. More impotantly, the heart of the boat are two 454 crusader engines that run excellent. Ive Owned this boat for over 3 years and never had any issues with the engines. Meter hrs. Boat has a saloon, galley, seperate head & shower and a full- size stateroom at bow's end. everything works as it should and fully fuctional. Now the hull has also gone through some changes, new top, comes with inclose canvas, all new exterior bumper cushions with boats style and name embroyed on them. I am putting my boat up for sale to put the money towards house. I really don't want to sell it, so I reserve the right to change my mind at any point in time. The boat is in seaworthy condition, it is actually in the water right now. The engines are 8.2 liter detroit diesel engines which have 1500 original hours on them. These engines did have a small issue and they were "known" for a headgasket issue. This boat had that issue corrected early in its life with the popular fix and now these engines have only one small issue:One motor starts to blow a little smoke in boost so I think a turbo needs to be rebuilt on one of the engines. The turbo is not difficult to access and I would have already had it rebuilt, but I am fine with going 11 knots, no need to go too fast with this boat. The boat is very big, a lot of room. Boat's options:-outrigger holders -trim tabls-Hydraulic steering-Motor controlled spot light-bathroom with shower and macerator-kitchen-AC unit (doesn't work)-Hot water heater (doesn't work)-40 gallon water holding tank-Garmin 3010c Fishfinder GPS unit with thru-hull transducer and 4kw radar on the top-generator (not working) The boat slip is included until the first of the year and winter storage is also included at no extra charge. Since I have owned the boat I have done the following:-The fuel tank was replaced with 2 fuel tanks 75 gallons each so the boat holds 150 gallons of fuel. This included some fiberglass work on the deck-The back deck could use a little more fiberglass work, to get it looking 100%, but it works fine the way it is.-Replaced the steering helm-Replaced all the batteries-Replaced 2 bilge pumps and hosing-replaced one jabsco fresh water pump with impeller-replaced the top with new sunbrella, replaced some of the eisenglass If you want to bring the boat back to perfect condition, it would need some attention on the following-eisenglass replaced in some places-hot water heater-Generator needs repair (I think it just needs a starter but I am not sure)-fiberglass work done on the Deck of the boat- I would personally update the fish finder at some point with a newer one-take the turbo off and have it rebuilt-You could also install a second fuel gauge for the second gas tank or even put a larger single tank back in if you would prefer to do that. The boat is loaded up with many options, a few things don't work; most do work and the boat still has a lot of life left in it. The book value in good condition with everything working would be around 29,000 on a boat like this according to NADA.I have taken everything that the boat would need to get it 100% and subtracted that from the total book value to come up with a reasonable price for the vessel. 1989 Luhrs 342 Convertible Introduced in 1986, the Luhrs Tournament 342 was an affordable,well-equipped flybridge convertible aimed at the market forfamily-oriented fishermen. Her modified-V hull, with 15 degreesof transom deadrise and a warped plane for quick acceleration, isa stable low-speed fishing platform although something of a stiffride in a chop. The cockpit is a little small for a 34-footer (a built-infish box and livewell were standard), and the absence of a transomdoor is notable. Belowdecks, the interior is hardly opulent, but itis well suited for leisurely weekend getaways. The original layoutincluded two staterooms, a deckhouse dinette, and oak woodwork.A much-revised floorplan was introduced in 1988 with a singlestateroom, a more open salon/galley arrangement, and an updateddecor with an absence of any wood. I am the 3rd owner of this boat. The original owner sold it in 2004 to the second owner for $55,000 (I have the paperwork). I also have the original owner's manuals that came with the boat. The engines do run well and have only 1400 original hours on them. It needs a little TLC but overall it is in very good condition for the year, and it has no salvage history or hurricane damage. The boat is fully loaded with many options including radar and electronics. -It has 3 bilge pumps.-Spot light with mechanical joystick-Chartplotter -GPS-3 Commercial batteries (8 D batteries)-3 Beds and another fold down bed where the kitchen table is-Nice Interior-Outrigger mounts -Full Eisenglass Enclosure on the Top-2 75 gallon fuel tanks-7 rod holders I really don't want to sell it, but I don't have much choice.
