2004 Maritime Skiff 23 Defiant
The Maritime Skiff 23 Defiant we has the same proven hull as the Patriot with a 42" wide center console complete with 3/8" heavy-duty windshield, wrap-around rail, and lockable access door. The console provides a flat area for charts or binoculars, and the gauge pod has room for flush-mounted electronics. The basic 34" leaning post is standard. However, this can be customized by adding the optional folding footrest, upholstered backrest (rod holders included), and the new tackle station. The latter includes two tackle drawers, a storage compartment, and wide access doors. Lockable latches are stainless. Performance is outstanding. Underway the Defiant jumps on plane, (three seconds), and the ride is characteristic Maritime dry and solid. The boat starts planing at 12 MPH with the standard trim tabs up, and only 9 MPH with the tabs down. So cruising speeds start this low and move up to the high 20's.
