2002 Maxum 2900 SCR
This Maxum 2900 SCR is powered by twin 190 hp Mercruiser 4.3L I/Os and located in Stratford,CT. Style, space, and comfort make this a popular mid-cabin cruiser with plenty of room for family and friends.
The roomy cockpit has a triple helm seat and a wraparound lounge aft with room for eight. Molded steps between the helm and companionway lead to a split windshield and large foredeck - perfect for sun bathing - with easy access to the windlass.
Belowdecks, the open-plan cabin can sleep four in comfort and privacy, with an offset double berth forward and double mid-berth, both with privacy curtains. There's also a hanging locker to port just forward of the galley, which features Corian countertops, stainless steel sink, two-burner stove, microwave, refrigerator, and plenty of storage. Opposite the galley is a booth-style dinette to starboard, The head, with electric flush toilet, sink, and shower is just aft of the dinette. Comfort is assured with air conditioning and screens for all portholes and hatches.

Info about the boat -- 2002 bought new in 2005 (it was a carryover). It has always been kept indry stack so it's in very good condition inside and out. Unfortunately, it was stored for well over a year without properly prepping the engine for extended storage. As a result, water did not fully drain and leaked through the manifolds and destroyed the engine. The engine, which was a single, 325 hp, Mercruiser with dual props has been removed.Estimated amount to install a new engine (parts/labor/testing) is $10k.The boat has been priced at $24k to allow a new owner to cover the repair. I am selling because we never use it and have now moved an hour away from the water. The boat does not have a trailer given it's size so you will need to keep it at the water.The boat is equipped with a navigation system, VHF radio, AM/FM/CD player with speakers above deck and below in the cabin, depth finder, gas gauge, and windlass anchor. The cabin has two beds (front and rear) with kitchen and dining area separating the sleeping areas. The kitchen has a microwave, refrigerator, cooktop and sink.There is also a bathroom with shower, toilet and sink. You can comfortably sleep four adults in the cabin with two kids sleeping on the bed made by removing the dinette table.There is no A/C, but the hatch windows open which kept us cool enough when we made it out.The boat is in excellent condition inside and out, just needs an engine.
