SAE 10W-30 Mercury Four-Stroke Oil (included with new engine purchases) or a premium quality SAE 10W-30 engine oil,preferably marine grade when available.
NOTE: With four-stroke outboards, oil is added directly to the engine crankcase. Four-stroke outboards use straight gasolinein the fuel tank (no oil mix). Mercury recommends that engine oil be changed every 100 hours or once yearly, whichever occurs first.See your owner's manual for detailed information on how to fill and change engine oil.
