As you can tell from the price, this boat is not turn key. My understanding from when I purchased the boat in 2013 was that it came up from Florida on its own power in 2011 and was pulled from the water for a full interior retrofit. The retrofit was started, interior removed for the most part, windows were rebedded, headliner replaced, but the owner was then unable to complete the work and the boat was listed for sale. Unfortunately, I have not put the time into it that I thought I would and so it sits inside my garage.
The power was redone with Cummins 5.9L diesels with ZF Hurth V-drives. Hour meters show 1122 and 1195 hours. Lots of work was already done on the exterior shortly before it was pulled from the water in 2011. If you are serious, give me a call and we can talk through all the details. 610-427-8766
1984 Midnight Lace Express Rumrunner
Venturer, is a substantially original Tom Fexas-designed express cruiser, in the Rumrunner, 3 cabin configuration, with galley up, center master suite and forward v-berth with passageway to the iconic forward cockpit for which the Lace is famous. Her helm sits high with full visibility over the bow. This express configuration does not have a flying bridge, but still this layout historically has been called a DCFB. The Lace is light and fast with twin turbocharged Detroit diesels. She cruises comfortably at 18 knots. She turns heads wherever she goes and is known by many from her many magazine covers over the decades. She is one notable part of yachting history. Fexas built 21 of these 44 footers at the Cheoy Lee yard in the late 70s and early 80s. She is kept under roof. Trades considered.
