This 1971 Chris Craft 58' Roamer is in better condition than similar for its age. The vessel shows above-average maintenance, overall. The dishwasher is not operative. Most records are available to include many upgraded and replaced mechanical systems. Upgrades include hydraulic steering plus two low-hour 770 HP Turbo Iveco diesels and ZF transmissions with electronic shift and throttle controls all commissioned in recent years, including a 20 KW Westerbeake generator. The 2006 engines were installed in 2014, the owner indicates. The props do need reconditioning as well as the exterior teak decks. The vessel has excellent Imron paint, newer batteries and chargers, and many other upgrades including struts and shafts. There is a recent condition report available for review. This is not a wanna-be..... but a heavily constructed all-aluminum vessel with many upgrades and a newer beautiful Imron exterior paint finish. When you step aboard you know she is a strong and solid Chris-Craft that can take you anywhere with grace and style in comfort and. This Chris Craft 58' Roamer is a true Classic Motor Yacht with a huge 17' Beam and has a much larger interior than most similar vessels. While this vessel could use some interior upgrades she is completely functional and ready to cruise at this time. Access to board is mid-deck through either a port or starboard amidship access doors or from a large extended swim platform with a ladder. This very large mid-ship deck area and salon include a full Isinglass full enclosure plus couch seating. The forward helm area has the captain's chair and ship controls to take you wherever you desire. There are tables and chairs with a couch which are all part of the furnishings on this deck. The deck also includes a fridge and wet bar. Up the ladder, the flybridge area is accessed through a hydraulic ceiling hatch and has full helm controls for operating the vessel with newer electronics. The radar arch which is hydraulically controlled allows for a low bridge clearance of 17' and 21' when up. There is also a full complement of tables and chairs on the flybridge for seating. Enter the cabin below which consists of a beautiful main salon with an entertainment center. Forward and down the steps is the galley with, cabinet storage, Formica countertops, a cooktop stove/oven, a microwave, and a refrigerator/freezer. The four-person convertible dinette makes meals aboard comfortable and roomy. The forward V-berth cabin consists of a guest's stateroom with two bunk-type berths and a guest head with a shower and countertop sink area. Back through the galley and Main Salon and down to the port side Master Suite which consists of a queen bed, generous closet space, and a private head with shower. There is an additional starboard guest cabin with a private head, closet storage, and shower as well. Down into the huge very clean engine room, you have many upgraded mechanical systems including engines and generator. This vessel has a lot of features and comforts including huge amounts of storage throughout. If you're interested in a nice true classic live-aboard, this one surely deserves a look. The owner planned to start interior renovation but due to personal reasons was not able to continue with the project. Reason for selling is not using.

A recent survey was interrupted by attending buyer over loose stanchions on rail for sundeck and water and oil in bilge areas at engine compartment and moisture in two stringers. No written survey. The vessel has been stored indoors Winters since purchase in 2018. The Rep walked the sun deck and the aft deck and there are no soft spots. The seller is including an extra driveshaft and two additional propellers. The cabin is in better-than-expected condition. There are spots of rust identified at the base of a couple of supports for the deck rail chrome but they are in good condition. There is no evidence of water infiltration through portholes or through bolts. Ceiling padding is in good condition. Upholstery in better-than-expected condition. Camper canvas and isinglass in good condition and zipper and snap enclosures work well. The seller suspects a breaker wiring issue with the autopilot and hour meters which are not operational but otherwise electronics are in working order. Four Years ago the seller added a new battery charger, new exhaust elbow on the starboard engine, new chart-plotter, new VHF fixed and portable, new toilets, new air conditioner pump, new water pump, new fridge, new carpet in main salon, and a new LED TV in the main salon. At the same time the swim platform was rebuilt and also the bow pulpit. The Engine hold and aft bilge both showed evidence of engine oil. Two personal inspection and one by a friend who is a diesel mechanic, evaluated the presencesof oil on both engines and suspect there is need for head gasket on both Detroit Diesels. Seller Diesel mechanic who performed compression check of the engines and reported "fine shape" Seller has scheduled mechanic to evaluate the source of the oil leak and is scheduled on or around the first of September 2023. A large head with large vanity and full shower completes the stateroom. Forward is a generous V-berth as the second stateroom with under-bed storage, drawers, and a large hanging locker behind the privacy door. The second full head with shower is interestingly designed to share entry with the galley area of the cabin. The U-shaped galley has a two-burner electric stove and a newer stainless steel refrigerator, kitchen sink and cabinets. A large dinette area features a table which can seat 6 and converts to a queen-size berth. Once anchored recreation includes swimming from the swim platform, fishing from the aft deck or sun bathing from the forward sundeck with sun pads and carpet for the aft deck included. Engine access is midships from the salon with removable floor panels in the main salon. Access to the diesel generator and dual air conditioning units, clean water, and maintenance access are here.
