1984 Olson 40 40' Olson '84 "Pohono"
Olson 40's were designed as ultralight performance yachts. Easily driven in light air and capable of planing down wind. Comfortable interior make these boats excellent cruisers that can click off the miles. Pohono has had the keel area reinforced and a more modern IMX 38 spade rudder installed. Lines are led aft for easy short handed sailing and NKE autopilot is your other driver.
1983 Olson 40 40' Olson '83 "Ono"
Olson 40s are a design "before their time". Still very competitive and sporty. 20 knots is common in these slippery boats. They are stable and comfortable in all points of sail, especially downwind. ONO has had the problematic chain-plates replaced, a customized galley, and has more cost effective wire standing rigging instead of rod. She's mostly stock, and in great cosmetic condition. 1989 Olson Olson 34 34' Olson '89 "Coracle"
The Olson 34 has a well-appointed interior for a racer cruiser plus she is well ventilated with several opening ports and hatches.
“Coracle” has been owned since 1997 by the current owners and has been out sailing in the San Diego area at least 3-days a week ever since they bought her. She is a delight to either double or single hand and she is quick and responsive.
A real pleasure to sail with a large comfortable cockpit for entertaining as well.
