1979 Peterson Kiwi 37
The Doug Peterson design, custom built by Kiwi Boats, was delivered for the 1979 SORC. All fresh water use, except for one and a half seasons. For the last 10 years Accord has been stored inside, and only launched 3 seasons since 2005.
The hull is dry balsa core with modified epoxy resin. Carbon and S-glass reinforcement in high load areas. Aluminum box grid to distribute keel and rig loads. Extremely stiff platform. Bottom faired, barrier coated and painted with ePaints. She is now in need of bottom coating.
Topsides professionally finished in Awl-Grip, white with red boot top in 2010. Only in the water two years with this paint. The rest of the time inside a building. The deck balsa cored deck-stripped, soft core replaced, refinished and Awl-Gripped in 2007. Modern deck configuration with 4 winch layout.
All bright work in the interior refinished in 2011. New cabin sole 2009, new cushions 2011, new refrigeration box structure custom built 2010, new Vitrifrigo refrigeration 2010. New Offshore Spars triple spreader rig in 1998 with rod rigging. Mast was painted in 2014.
