This Prairie Trawler 36, designed by Hargrave who designed the Hatteras, was hit by a sport boat cafe racer on the rear quarter. I bought it from the insurance company and fixed the port engine. The port engine looks like she was recently reblocked she's got a Perkins T6.354M which consume just a shade over 2gph. each. Last May I ran her over to Spanish wells the Bahamas, 520 miles, and towed back a 29 ft catamaran. She has a digital displayed Kohler generator. and I think 3 Marine Ac units. [One in each cabin] Vessel is in N. Miami and Hallandale Fl. I took the boat to the bahamas and towed back a catamaran last May. Gas Stove Nor-cold refrigeration windless Engine issues. Port motor looses fresh water after about 3 hours of light running. Probably a heat exchanger leak. I will fix or adjust the price. NBD Alternator is not charging. Defects and problems. 1978 PRAIRIE 32 Cutter, Must sell due to health issues. All reasonable offers will be considered. We are the original owners of Kalai Pahoa. She was built in the Prairie Boat works/Blue Water Yachts shipyard in 1978 and trucked to Oregon in 1979. She is a heavy displacement full keel cruiser with a cutaway forefoot for quick manuvering. Outboard rudder and tiller make for ease of handling. Yanmar 33 HP Diesel Engine. She is a good sturdy cruiser, Mexico vet. Must see to appreciate. She has provided many safe cruising miles and is a great live aboard. The resemblance to the Hatteras LRC is evident and Prairie’s are highly desirable and known to be very tough trawlers that make great cruisers and/or live-a-board vessels. 1981 Prairie 36 Aft Cabin The Prairie 36 was made in Clearwater, Florida by the Prairie Boatworks Company and designed by legendary naval architect Jack Hargrave of the Hatteras Yachts fame. She resembles the Hatteras 42 LRC and is one tough trawler that's great as a cruiser and/or live-a-board. The current owner of 16 years added a new Powertech 7kw Genset (915 hrs) in 2000. Updated Corian countertops with newer galley appliances make for a fresh look as do the hardwood floors in salon and galley. A real deal for someone looking for a trawler in the under $50k range. Fuel efficient and naturally aspirated Perkins 85 hp diesels with approximately 1775 hours each and burns about 2.5 gallons per hour total while cruising at 7-8 knots. A real fuel sipper.

30’ Intracoastal Trawler, this is a 1979 that was refitted in 06 with a 150 Cummings diesel, Northern lights M643 generator both have been well maintain with 600 hrs each. This is a perfect boat to travel the Intracoastal or do the big loop. Very economical to operate burning an average of 8 gal of fuel with both gen and main engine running a day. It was built by Prairie Boat works in Deland Florida, it is totally fiberglass with no wood supports to dry rote. It has a full kitchen and head with shower and toilet. There is a full berth forward and pull out coach sleeping 4 comfortable. This a good starter boat with bow thrusters for easy docking and full controls both on flying bridge and main station.
