The all-new Sabre 48 Salon Express is our fifth pod driven model and she takes full advantage of this technology in both her performance and in her interior accommodation plan. The 48's traditional exterior profile belies the contemporary performances of her vee-hull. She cruises at 27 knots and at wide open throttle she'll attain more than 32 knots. With the Zeus pod drive system, turns at speed are as exciting as they are in a fine sports car but perhaps even more exhilarating is the quiet that one experiences at cruise speeds. Less than 75 Dba makes her one of the quietest motoryachts available today. The joystick and Skyhook operations give every Captain the confidence to dock her in the most difficult of circumstances. Her raised cockpit sole brings together the social aspects of the cockpit and main salon and the aft end of the house opens up fully to connect the spaces. Her main salon offers ample seating surfaces for entertaining or simply relaxing to read or enjoy the standard entertainment systems. While underway the raised settee to port of the Stidd helm chair is a perfect place for the crew to enjoy the ride. And when docking, a standard side deck door serves her helmsman and crew, well. For 2017, Sabre presents the 45 Salon Express. An all new design offering two staterooms with two full heads. But her most unique proposition is the utility space located between the engine room and the guest stateroom. This space is reserved for the installation of optional accessories like a gyro stabilizer, washer/drier, additional freezers or wine chillers. By creating this working space, all storage areas within the vessel have been retained for their designed purpose. The cockpit, main salon and galley flow from space to space, for unrivaled social connectivity. The master stateroom offers an island bed and several lockers and drawers for stowage. The master head features a separate stall shower and ceramic tile on the sole. The second stateroom and head are located below the helm. Versatile twin berths can slide together to form an island bed. An optional sun shade is available over the cockpit. The Sabre 38 Salon Express represents the latest in design and naval architecture. Her exterior profile still says "downeast" and she is built in the tradition of Maine boat building: beautiful, strong, steady, reliable and very seaworthy. Yet below her skin, technology is everywhere: from her resin infused laminates, to state of the art systems, to her pod propulsion drive. Her hull lines are the latest thinking in vee-hulled motor yachts and are specifically designed for the installation of pods, allowing fuel economy, quiet running and a pleasant dry ride. The pod drive train of the Sabre 38 offers excellent fuel economy, an important consideration in these days of uncertain diesel prices. Pods also lower noise by pushing out exhaust through the propeller stream and importantly allow confident boat handling when docking or maneuvering in tight spaces. In her interior the Sabre 38 Salon Express provides an open design which will suit a day's outing with friends as easily as a longer cruise. Her cockpit is raised to a level just 5 inches below the main salon so as to connect these two important social spaces, and the aft end of the house opens with drop down windows and a swing door. In her main salon a large, U-shaped settee with fold over table will seat up to three couples, while the forward end of the settee can be oriented forward to provide a comfortable perch when underway. To starboard, aft of the Stidd helm seat, is a long cabinet housing an LED television on an electric lift and storage compartments for the owners gear.

The Sabre 48 Salon Express was created and is equipped with the latest in technology. Her hull, deck and small composite parts are all built using Sabre Yacht’s VIP resin infusion process. This method of molding fiberglass parts is cleaner and greener: emissions of VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) are dramatically reduced making our work environment better for our associates and the air in which we live and boat, cleaner. The infused composite parts are stronger, provide better durability and vessel integrity and yet they are lighter which lowers fuel costs. Her pod drive train is the latest in technology. Pods offer quieter operation, better fuel economy than straight shafts and an unequalled ease of handling around the docks. She can cruise at speeds up to 30 knots while sound levels at cruise aboard the Sabre 48 Salon Express are an incredible low 74 Dba. Even at her wide open throttle speed, sound levels do not exceed 75Dba. By raising the cockpit and all of it’s comfortable seating to within one short step of the main salon’s cabin sole, the Sabre Design Team has created a unique environment, joining these two popular social spaces. A entry door to port and an electrically operated window to starboard completely open the aft end of the salon so that your crew and guests can enjoy the fresh air. The salon offers a comfortable L-settee to starboard. Cushions are deep and luxurious. An elegant, hi-lo, folding table is inlaid with a maple insignia. To port is another settee which slides inboard so that more guests can gather at the table. This mechanism also provides access to the utility room below the main salon sole. At the forward end of the salon is a raised L-settee, so that the entire crew can have the same sight lines as the helmsman. There is also a large screen LCD television on an electric lift, and a chart table with ample volume for charts and loose gear. Her elegant helm pod is covered in Ultraleather and has space enough for two large chart plotter screens and the engine displays. There is room remaining for other instrument needs such as a night vision camera, spot light controls and VHF radio. Sightlines from this helm are very clear and exceed industry guidelines.
