The full beam interior is made possible by the space saving V-Drive power plant. Th 440's sunken salon design utilizes the entire width of the hull to create a large wide open floor plan on a single level. A huge L-shaped settee is to port opposite the starboard galley, two settees and the unique mid-salon circular table and entertainment center. The owner's cabin is forward with a full head & shower, including dual access doors. Placement of the engines under the cockpit provides room for a midcabin stateroom including a second head beneath the molded cockpit bridge steps, innovative at the time of the 440's introduction into the express cruiser market. The salon and cockpit are separated by dual transom doors and includes a forward facing bench seat and port and starboard access to the transom.
