It's a totally custom build hand-made of the finest boat building woods covered with S glass and epoxy. Forward, layers of kevlar have also been added. It looks very different than a fiberglass boat that comes out of a mold. It's solid as a rock and light for its size. Its cabin is open, unadorned, but could be finished nicely. Originally designed to have water ballast tanks [never installed] so there's lots of room below. A number of different cabin layouts could be designed and installed. Stock #241572 Custom built of the lightest and strongest materials she is an great platform to complete your sailing dreams. Custom Built for the Ostar race although she never competed in it her hull is built of wood and epoxy and is extremely light and strong. Her cabin is a simple open layout optimal for single-handed sailing but could be upgraded. The boat has competed for rigging and sails and a reserve an unfinished 50-foot mast section. Boom is spruce and is functional but rough-looking. This boat's interior is unfinished wood with all systems exposed for easy servicing. There are no separate sleeping quarters or head it's all wide open. She was built to compete in offshore racing not looking good at a boat show. There are no real gadgets or unnecessary systems that would add any weight to the boat and affect sailing performance. Right now her rig and keel are not optimized for modern racing but a new 50 mast section is included and owed has a plan to relocate it aft and increase the size of the foresail. Simply put this is not the boat for everyone but if you are the right sailor who wants to use this boat to its fullest potential the seller is willing to be very flexible on the price. Tell us your plan! Where would you go in a boat built to go anywhere? Reason for selling is time has passed and its ready for a new owner.

There is a large cockpit with wheel steering and binnacle-mounted instruments and a compass. The electronics on the boat are older and due for replacement Self-tailing primary winches and the aforementioned headsails make this an easy boat to sail short or singlehanded, yet she has the room for a full crew when available. Owners also have a full canvas boat cover that will come with the boat. Down below is equally traditional and comfortable.
